Yummy salty pretzels wrapped around a juicy hot dog! You can make the hot dogs sealed off inside the pretzels like a roll, or just wrap the dough around the hot dog like a mummy! You can also just use the dough to make soft pretzels!

A perfect salty and juicy combination!

Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 pkgs active dry yeast
- 3 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 cups water
- 4 tbsp baking soda
- 1 egg white
- 4-5 tbsp Kosher salt
Instructions
Let the yeast, water, corn syrup, and salt sit in a medium bowl for 5 minutes. Mix in melted butter.
Add the flour to create a smooth and elastic dough, kneading to get desired results. Let dough rest for 15-30 minutes.
Let the dough rise until doubled, 30 to 60 minutes.
Prepare Baking Soda bath by boiling water with baking soda until dissolved.
Divide dough into 16 pieces. Cut your hot dogs in half so you also have 16 pieces.
Take each hot dog piece and wrap one of the balls of dough around it and seal it off. Continue with the remaining pieces.
Dip breaded hot dogs into the baking soda bath for 2 minutes each and place them a few inches apart on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet.
Gently cut slits in the top of the bread, brush the tops with egg white and then sprinkle generously with Kosher salt.
Bake at 425 for 10-14 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter.
On Recipe Thursdays, I am going to be sharing a recipe with you! I will pick a recipe from my collection and I will be sharing where I got the recipe and everything. But I am going to include my own photo of the finished food, the original recipe, and try and share the things I changed when I made it!

Tell me your Story....and feel free to comment!
