Journal Prompt: What’s something you’re good at? What makes you good at it?
We all have talents; they can be obvious ones, but sometimes they aren’t. Sometimes they seem like seemingly small things that we are just good at. I believe that all talents (no matter what they are), are important and special and we should learn to recognize those talents in ourselves. Once we recognize talents, we have to use them or we could lose them. I’m a big believer in using your talents to better your life and the world around you.
One of my more obvious talents lies in digital design. I love it and I always feel better when I am being creative. When I use this talent in the aid/service of those around me, I have found that I strengthen my skill and there is a wonderful feeling of using something that I have been blessed with. I know that Heavenly Father has blessed each one of us with skills/talents that can bless others and that is why we have them.
Journal CardZ for this Week | GOT TALENT
Each Tuesday, I am going to be offering prompts or ideas. If you don’t write in your journal regularly – I am going to encourage you to write at least ONCE A WEEK and answer the question/idea that I give on Tuesdays. These ideas hopefully will spark a memory and you will be able to capture that in what you write/record so that it can be left for your children/grandchildren/family/friends. Give as much detail as you can when answering.
Will you do this for me? Will you do this for your families? You can write it down in a journal, you can type it up on a computer or journaling software, you can take a recorder and talk, you can videotape your answers, you can even scrap a page with the journaling. It doesn’t matter how you do this – it’s just important that you do it. The memories, the dates, the information is the only real thing we can leave to our families when we are gone. Encourage your children, your family, and friends to write their story too!
Freebie Journal CardZ | A very popular trend right now is Pocket Scrapbooking. Part of pocket scrapbooking is journaling cards.
