Choose Happiness

  I tend to be extremely naive about the world and actually I like it that way. I don't get caught up in politics or much of what is going on in the world around me. I like to live in this little world that I have created for myself that revolves around my own family and friends. I like to focus on the things in MY life. It's not always a good thing. I do feel it is important to take a stand for the things that you believe in and really I should be more proactive about building the future. I do feel that it is so important to vote and to take responsibility for the world - but most of the time, I just like to leave that to my husband or others who are much more political than I am. Jolly Holiday Surprise Adventure | Planning

I'm so excited to finally be scrapbooking my family's Disneyland 2014 trip. It is so fun re-living these moments! Today, I scrapbooked a spread about the planning of our trip and I loved how it turned out! I also love the Project Mouse Collection that Britt-ish Designs & Sahlin Studio are doing. They are amazing and I plan on using them a lot for this album! Jolly Holiday Surprise Adventure | Cover

For the last month or so, I have been on an interesting journey of discovery about myself. I've been struggling with depression and anxiety for several years and it has zapped all the creativity out of me. But I have found myself wanting to dig myself out of this hole that I have been in and I have been actually having fun creatively again and that is an amazing breakthrough.  I have discovered that I get burned out when I try to do just one kind of creative thing.  But if I do a little of blogging, a little scrapbook designing, a little crocheting, a little bit of wood crafts, and a little of graphic design, etc, I find myself being exhilarated by the things that I am creating and it makes all of my other creative projects better. Merry Christmas from The Smith Family

I have sent out Christmas cards every year for 16 years,  but this year I just didn't get it done. So I am doing a digital-only version this year!   MERRY CHRISTMAS  FROM THE SMITH FAMILY J.J. is 13 and is in 8th Grade at Spectrum Academy. This school has been heaven-sent for J.J. and his parents and has helped us get through having a teenager with autism. J.J. loves Star Wars, Phineas and Ferb, and Minecraft. He is happiest when he is watching movies and playing on his tablet.   Beth is 10 and in 5th grade at Spring Creek Elementary. She loves school, being with her friends, and excels in reading. She sings in her school choir, is learning to play the violin, and is in a theater group (they will be performing Aladdin in April). She is happiest when she is reading a book, listening ... 2016 Primary Theme Posters

2016 PRIMARY I Know the Scriptures Are True So if you are LDS and happen to be in a Primary Presidency,  I have a freebie for you today.  I AM a part of my ward's Primary Presidency (specifically the second counselor), and I'm so excited about these posters that I created for the upcoming new year! I loved the posters that I created last year, but I love these even more. I'm so excited about how they turned out. If you are in the Primary, you know that each month we have monthly themes that go along with the yearly theme, plus monthly scriptures. Many wards, including my own, like to display posters with the month's theme on it!
