I am a collector of quotes/sayings/titles and I am excited to share them with you each Wednesday. I hope they will inspire you and make your day a little better! I am also creating pieces of wordart with these quotes and will be offering them to you as a freebie! Feel free to use them in your scrapbooks or just print them out for wall decor!

Family History TuesdayZ | Favorite Season
Journal prompt: Describe your favorite season.
Each Tuesday, I am going to be offering prompts or ideas. If you don’t write in your journal regularly – I am going to encourage you to write just ONCE A WEEK and answer the question/idea that I give on Tuesdays. These ideas hopefully will spark a memory and you will be able to capture that in what you write/record so that it can be left for your children/grandchildren/family/friends. Give as much detail as you can when answering.
Will you do this for me? Will you do this for your families? You can write it down in a journal, you can type it up on a computer or journaling software, you can take a recorder and talk, you can videotape your answers, you can even scrap a page with the journaling. It doesn’t matter how you do this – it’s just important that you do it. The memories, the dates, the information is the only real thing we can leave to our families when we are gone.

My first try at making beef stew tonight. It wasn’t the best, but not too bad. The kids seemed to like it.
Tuesday, November 16, 2010
The kids had penny wars at school this week and so we had some fun emptying out our piggy bank and sorting and counting.

I love Fall sunsets. This was the beauty for tonight – the picture doesn’t do it justice. The kids and I stared at it for as long as we could before it was just too cold!
Thursday, November 18, 2010
Joey got some new dice and the kids and him had some fun tossing them for awhile tonight.

I was in the kitchen all day today, preparing for the weekend. I made rolls, egg noodles, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. And of course tried to get most of the cleaning up done. My parents arrived at 2 and we visited while I finished up my baking. Then when the kids got home from school, we turned on a movie for them and Grandpa and my mom and I headed out the door. We had a nice visit and then we got to experience the Time Out for Women. I loved hearing the music and the inspirational messages. It was a great evening.
Saturday, November 20, 2010
We started the day extremely early to get up to Salt Lake City for the rest of the Time Out for Women. I throughly enjoyed the messages of Hope that we received and it was something I really needed. Joey spent the day with the kids – Beth had a birthday party as well. I went to dinner with my parents and friends before we started home. Unfortunately, we hit a snowstorm and we were pretty wore out by the time we got back to my home. We watched a little Utes football (they won) and then went to bed.
Sunday, November 21, 2010
My parents left this morning. It was nice to have time with them both and it was nice to hear that they got home safely – even though they had a little storms on their way. Beth coughed all night and even though she was supposed to give a talk today in church, we decided she better stay home. She did finally convince her daddy to play tea party with her. Unfortunately our Colts lost by a field goal today and so it was pretty disappointing.

Today was Beth’s first day as a Daisy Girl Scout. She was so excited to participate and get her uniform. I hope it is something she will enjoy! We all went to her special Investure meeting tonight where she received her daisy pin.

Beth’s having a great week. Today when she came home she was honored as one of the Students of the Week! Yay Beth!

I love the yummy food that is so great for Fall weather. We had potato soup in bread bowls tonight and it was delicious!
Thursday, November 11, 2010
Today was Veteran’s Day. I’m so blessed to live in this country and I honor all those wonderful people who serve the United States of America. I really loved seeing all the flags flying as I drove Beth to school.

I’m so grateful for afternoon kindergarten. Mornings seem to be getting harder and harder for me so its nice to be able to go back to bed after JJ gets off to school. I’ve also enjoyed having some one-on-one time with Beth after I get back up – with lunch, conversation, and our drives to her school!

We had practice for the primary program this afternoon and the kids did pretty good. They loved the pizza party afterwards and then they got to play in the leaves before Aaron and Joey got them raked up and put away. It’s fun to see them enjoy the simple things.
Sunday, November 14, 2010
The Primary program was today. Beth did a fabulous job on her part. JJ did okay – at least he got up there and tried – he was really nervous and you couldn’t understand what he said, but glad he did it anyways. The primary music still touches me and it was nice to listen and join in now that I am a primary teacher.

We still have leftover Dirt Dessert from Sunday and its such a delicious treat!

I hate the season of being sick. We have all had a hard time getting rid of our colds completely. These wonderful little vaporizers are awesome!
Thursday, November 4, 2010
Our lawn is filling with leaves and I am reminded again that I am totally becoming a Fall person!
Friday, November 5, 2010
More snowflakes today – but it didn’t last long. I spent some time taking some pictures around the house.
Saturday, November 6, 2010
A fun Saturday. We took the kids to Megamind and then after the kids went to bed, Joey and I went out to dinner and brought home some Redbox movies which we watched together. I love it when we get to have date night!

My little JJ is getting so big. After church today, I took some photos of JJ for his baptism program and I was delighted with this one!
